Beverly Russell Consulting developed and
conducted a program for Teen-age Parents
.The program provided the participants with
effective strategies to face the challenge
of being a student and being a parent.
Bay Area Counseling
Association
Beverly Russell Consulting developed and
implemented a workshop on Solution-Focus
Brief Counseling for the Bay Area Counseling
Association, an organization of
approximately 65 counselors in the Houston
Area. Counselors received CEU credit for
attending.
Cedar Hill
Independent School District
Beverly Russell Consulting developed and
implemented a four part parenting education
series, “Straight Talk for Parents” for
parents of students attending the Cedar Hill
ISD summer program. The program used proven
effective strategies to help parents learn
and practice good parenting skills.
Department of
Education, Nassau, Bahamas
Beverly Russell Consulting teamed up with
National Computer Systems to train secondary
counselors on the administration and
implementation of the IDEAS Career Interest
Inventory. With the training, Bahamian
counselors were able to counsel students
more effectively on choosing a suitable
career.
DeSoto Independent
School District
Realizing that the State Legislature
requires guidance counselors in the schools
to counsel with students regarding the
importance of going to college, Beverly
Russell Consulting partnered with DeSoto ISD
to develop and implement a K-12 college
preparation curriculum. The comprehensive
curriculum included guidance lessons,
school-wide activities and parent meetings.
Oak Cliff Bible
Fellowship
OCBF Youth Department recognized the need to
provide training for adults who work with
youth at the church. A program on Managing
Adolescent Behavior was prepared and
conducted by Beverly Russell Consulting.
Cedar Hill Family and
Community Services
Beverly Russell Consulting developed and
conducted a staff development program,
“Communicating Effectively With Students”
for the teachers and staff of the Cedar Hill
ISD Summer Program.
New Orleans
Independent School District
Beverly Russell Consulting partnered with
National Computer Systems Inc. to train
secondary counselors in New Orleans on the

Inventory. Participants left the training
with exciting strategies to use in
counseling students toward appropriate
